The idea of Looksee Collective formed in 2018 but through the winding ins and outs of the last few years, the collective we imagined didn’t fully come to life until 2022. The concept was born to create a channel for expression, actualized into interior products that could make a tiny impact of joy, connection and appreciation. Something with a positive impression on the planet and a small carbon footprint.

Through synchronicity over the last several years, the small team of founding artists was curated and encouraged to express current meanderings into small collections. To articulate from canvas, sketch or sculpture to wallpaper with the opportunity to layer the aspects of their perspectives in new ways. Expand their vocabulary and articulation of color, transferring from a gallery narrative straight onto surface for home or hospitality space.

So let’s take a Looksee at what we can create together with each stroke of the pen and intention in a shape.

Our Passion

We want to live our lives spherically—in all directions. Invest in products that are responsibly created, in materials that are conscious and aren’t depleting the planet. We want to express ourselves and celebrate artistry and passion through what we buy and what we fill our spaces with.

Our Purpose

We believe in the art of living truly in the moment, in the spaces, synchronized with our surroundings. We want to be inspired by the boldness of others, witness culture and live in color.Wallpaper is an ongoing conversation from the artist in your space.

Our Wallpaper

We choose to sustainably print on paper with water-based, latex, low-emission inks, offering clean air with no off-gassing and the ability to recycle or compost (compost only available on grasscloth) any unused cuttings after installation. To encourage thoughtful selections and to minimize waste, we charge a small fee for each sample. We have minimal packaging and kindly welcome sample returns.

Meet OUR Founder

Lilianne Steckel of Lilianne Steckel Interior Design (LSID) has been in the spheres of design since she was young. Having a background with talented designers and creators as role models in her childhood (such as Elizabeth Arden and Tony Duquette) inspiring her creativity and sparking the idea that no dream is too small or too big to reach. It is Lilianne’s greatest honor to create and to shed light on others through design. Her main purpose in life is to create beauty, design environments that bring joy, and continually connect her love of interiors, fashion, jewelry, sustainability and wellness together.

LSID was founded in 2012 in Austin, TX and has created numerous commercial and residential interior projects in Austin and nationwide. Creating environments to be the backdrop to people’s memories truly brings her fulfillment and she wants all to have the potential to live out a beautiful story. She is grateful to be able to use her voice and creativity to make a difference, to connect to community, and to have a positive impact on the planet.
